Pretty rushed as usual. Its Friday night here in Seminyak and I’m supposed to meet Greg from Florida at Peanuts sometime later.
Ika wanted satay, so I shot down to Spaghetti Jazz on Jl. Seminyak, and just past there on the right, is a little courtyard area where a man with a satay stand works.
He asks how many sticks I want, then puts them on the fire, whipping the glowing coconut husks into life with a bamboo fan. After several minutes, the satay is ready and he dollops thick peanut sauce, garlic and chili, onto a paper packet, before rolling the satay in it and wrapping it.
20 pieces cost 11,000rp
