ESC - Urban Food Service, Kuta Bali

One of the new additions to the Kuta scene is ESC, a 24 hour snack bar. Located on Jl. Legian, across from Poppies Lane II, ESC offers a place for a hot coffee in the morning, cold drink in the afternoon, and midnight snack while out partying. The menu includes bread items, cakes, sandwiches, juices, coffee and smoothies.

Coffee is provided by Driscoll Roasting Co. and juice by Boost. An espresso is 14,000rp, Latte 20,000rp, Mocha 22,000rp. A Tropical Storm smoothie is 25,000rp.

You can also pick up decent wine, beer and soft drinks. I bumped into the promotions manager a couple of weeks ago but I guess she quit already. Never mind, the location, situated between MBarGo, Fuel, Apache, Paddy’s and Bounty ship, must mean they’ll do business. I remember my party days back in the 80’s. We’d go downtown in London, stay at some nightclub till 3.30am, go around the corner to he KFC, then get the bus home. When the munchies strike, the handy cafe gets the customer. The upstairs lounge area is spacious and has free internet, if you bring your laptop.
