Yeah, you’re right in some respects. I did pass by Warung Wulan last night and the place was packed. the warung looked clean and I can only assume they were doing some kind of big clean-up over Galungan because it does look alright now. Next door at Warung 96, they were fixing the tolets/drainage system and that could have been a reason before for all the mossies eh.

I will return there and check it out again and let you know eh. Yeah, I’ll give your regards to Susie!.

Barrie, surely you can’t blame the staff for the mosquitos? On my two visits to Bali, Warung Wulan and Warung Lingga were my choice of cafes, to the point that I stopped trying for better, and ate at one or the other at least twice a day, with a jaffle of a goreng at the Bagus pub in between
I’m surprised that you didn’t enjoy the food at Warung Wulan, but I guess every place has its good days and bad. Try their breakfasts- the serving of bacon is the size of a large postage stamp, but overall the brekky is the best value I found in Bali!

How did she go with the shopping….I hope you got something special. Yep only about 37 days!
I want to find an awesome hand carved bed to bring home, I really want one & my parent’s are going to buy it as a Wedding gift… So I will be shopping for that at some stage!
I personally think the world could learn alot from Balinese Pizza’s… I have really, really enjoyed a few in Bali.
My hubby loves all foods, we went Mexican one night & his friend would not even try to “YELLOW” rice…
I am looking forward to getting there, obviously…

Just returned from devouring an Alfredo pizza for lunch at Warung Lingga. Yeah, you are right they are absolutely scrumptious.

Candika,who has never had pizza before in her entire life, thought the pizza was ‘bloody bagus!’. Just thought I would let you know mate.

I will check out Depot Ika the other places you have mentioned. Cheers for them. Thelma did receive some money from me. Actually it was a case of “Where’s your wallet darling?”. It will be interesting to hear about their escapades.

Sean, I will return there and have a pizza but I will wear a suit of armour and carry a samurai sword so that I can slice the mossies into Sushi. Nick likes Sushi eh!.
Seriously though, they have done renovations and obviously disturbed something cos the mossies were unbearable.

Barrie, as you are heading up Jl. Benesari, you will come across a cool, cheap & delicious place. A favourite with Japanese Surfers, It is called Depot Ika. A really cool place to eat, but not necessarily to hang out in!? It is on the opposite side of the road to the Adrenalin Park, but just near there. It is usually packed. I am sure it is still around, I love the Cumi cumi in Garlic butter sauce! But you need to then also order a side dish of Nasi Putih, as I recall. Opposite there is one of my hang outs…. “Heart Beats” leather shop!! Say hi to the boys, they are my hubby’s mates!
Keep eating your way through Bali.
I hope Thelma & Louise, had fun… did you let Candika take spending money??? I can’t wait to hear about the ISCR group!!!

Nick and I ate at the Pizza Place next to Warung 96 a few times…I thought is was good pizza for Bali – at least it tasted like pizza. The mozzies were not so bad back then as I can remember…loving these review mate.
