Dalle Art Shop: Shells in everything

Just up from Bintang supermarket on Jl. Dhyana Pura in Seminyak is a shop called Dalle Art Shop. In the window they have multi-colored wind chimes, and I stopped in to see what else was going on. The family who owns this are Muslims from Sulawesi. As the sign out front says ‘Special Selling Sea Shell’. A lot of things contained shells, not only the chimes.

One of the male staff, Lukman, showed me a few things including some large bowls in the front window, which are made of shells and resin. His asking price was 50,000rp for a large one. The chimes were going for 120,000rp and Lukman also showed me some other bowls that are made of bamboo, coconut and resin. They were 60,000rp. Dalle Art Shop is open daily from 9am-8pm
