Healthcare is an important concern for anyone in Bali taking part in serious activities like surfing, parasailing and getting drunk every day. For those staying in Tanjung Benoa there are at least 3 clinics and I visited 2 of them. The first was the tiny Pratama Clinic which is located on the left side of Jl. Pratama heading north. I spoke to the owner Ketut Suweta who told me about the services which include minor injury care, medical check ups and a dentist. Pratama Clinic is open from 9am-12pm and from 6pm-8pm. There is also an ambulance on call 24 hours a day.

The second place I visited was much larger. Nusa Dua Clinic is also located on the left side of Jl Pratama heading north and the brochure says its is open 24 hours a day. The receptionist told me the clinic is open from 8am-6pm so I guess you'll have to take your chances. Nusa Dua Clinic is staffed with physicians and nurses who are specialists in primary care. Nusa Dua Clinic's services include dental services, international family medicine, routine medical consultation, childhood vaccination, treatment of tropical illness, microbiology laboratory service, screening of STD's, pregnancy testing, cancer screening, travel medicine and vaccination, on call services with English speaking doctors, internationally trained doctors. There is also a dental clinic and a general clinic.
