Kuta's nightlife has revamped over the last 2 years and on Wednesday night Chris and went out for a bit to check out the scene. I usually don't go out super late but this was his last night in Bali. We started off around 8pm by watching soccer highlights in a deserted Paddy's.
We then strolled down to Wave on the bottom of Jl. Pantai Kuta and drank 25,000rp VB's, again watching soccer highlights in an empty bar. I asked the staff when Wave gets busy and was told only really on Friday and Saturday nights, between 11pm and 2am.
Chris chose TJ's as a place to eat as he likes Mexican. My beef tostada was great, as were the couple of Storm beers I drank. More and more places are selling Storm and while we were there 2 lovely promo ladies came around to encourage us to drink more.
The owner of TJ's, Jean from California was on duty and I said hi. She sent over some chips and delicious salsa. TJ's has been a Bali landmark for over 20 years and the owners still show up every night to take care of guests. What does that tell you?
