This restaurant is one of the places I always try to hit when in Ubud. Great atmosphere, handy location, great food. Casa Luna is the home-base for the Ubud Writers Festival ( October 8-11, 2005) and also has a cooking school. Casa Luna opened in 1992 and the front of the restaurant serves breads and baked goods. The menu is broken down into: Sunday brunch, Breakfast, appetizers, salads, main courses, Indonesian, Pasta & Pizza, Sandwiches and Breads, Extras, For Kids, Sweet Things. I ordered a tostada (23,000rp), which I have had before. Casa Luna also does great drinks. One arak madu will get your afternoon well into 'mellowville'. The restaurant sits on Jl. Raya Ubud and is under a large natural roof.
The staff are all very pleasant and wear traditional costume. When I visited in the early afternoon the place has only a few other customers. In the evenings its will be busier.
Casa Luna is located on Jl. Raya Ubud just down from Ary's Warung.
