Sitting here at Swell bar on Poppies I in Kuta I am typing articles and catching a quick look at the Wimbledon tennis. The 2 guys next to me have just come from the beach and have ordered a couple of big burgers. They look and smell good and I am tempted to get one. This makes me think again about openings in the markets for a savvy bule. Most of the people on holiday in Tuban, Kuta and Legian are Aussies. I don't care what tourism figures say, they are the real tourists and spend the most money. Imagine a stylish place on the drag that offered great burgers, great selection (Aussie salad items etc.) and sports on the TV. Some places make an attempt at this like Stadium Cafè, but they're not all about burgers. If someone really nailed it they'd have a customer base right away (and 20 locals copying them 5 minutes later).
People like burgers and a stylish place that really nails it might work here in Kuta. Swell does a 'Swell Burger' with fried egg, lettuce, tomato, pineapple, bacon and other items for 22,000rp.

Geez, that burger in the foto is almost the size of the guy’s head!.
Good point though Nick regarding setting up an eatery catering for tourists. By that I mean, can you imagine a place where they serve brekky ‘just like home’.

There is no such Big burger at Swell bar. Only normal cheese burger size. Did you do something to the picture that you took? Or izzit another place??
The resturant really very comfor. But my boyfriend realy disappointed that he can find the big burger after seeing the photo you took.
The burger is not fro mSwell Bar that’s true, although I did eat a Swell burger and it was good.
The photo is of a place in Ohio where they use a 6lb patty and a whole cup of pickles on top.
