Interview with Ebong from Magic Wave
Magic Wave is a surf community newspaper that I published in Bali. Their office is located on the 2nd floor of the now deserted, Legian Arcade. This afternoon I stopped in their to talk with Ebong, a friend and surfer, who is now one of the main men at Magic Wave. Here’s what Ebong had to say. Ebong has such terrific pronounciation. I wish I could roll my ‘R’s like that.

THE FIRST INDONESIAN SURFING CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE STARTED
In purpose to enlarge surfing in Indonesia, required to do some efforts that will improve Indonesian surfer’s quality. So, Indonesian’s surfers will be qualified to show their skills in the world-class competition that automatically will raise Indonesia’s name.

Billabong Indonesia PRO in Keramas June 6th 2004
Held in 3 to 4 ft righthander Keramas beach , on the East coast of Bali. With 64 competitors, 14 are international competitors from Australia Japan, Hawaii, New Zealand, and 50 from Indonesia.
Pepen has been going strong from the begining of the contest and get the first place. He is also one of the best aerialist these days.
