Saturday morning at Global in Kerobokan Bali
Sitting here at Global Xtreme on Saturday morning, I am waiting for my fruit salad & yoghurt (20,000rp). I’ve had it before, its not just good, its damn good! Usually it has melon, papaya, mango, banana, besides the yoghurt, and a touch of granola and honey.

Getting back to Bali
My visa ‘agent’ returned to the McDonalds, across from the Orchard Hotel, just after 4pm. It was funny, as there were all these geeky looking white guys, just like myself, sitting around by themselves, sipping a Coke or tea. We all stick out like sore thumbs, nervously waiting for our passports and hoping there haven’t been any screw ups.

Arriving at Denpasar airport at around 8.20pm (Bali is the same time as Singapore, but 1 hour ahead of Jakarta), we alighted, and the plane basically split into Visa On Arrival (VOA) and Long Stay Visas (including KITAS and Business).

Shopping for tech gear in Singapore
Singapore is the place most expats in Bali will look to when they need tech gear, new camera, laptop, etc. Today I was looking around for a portable surge protector, one that actually works. On the 4th floor of Sim Lim Plaza, I visited one shop loaded with gadgets, bits and pieces, add-ons, upgrades etc.
