As most Baliblog readers will know, Laura (Australia, former N.Ireland) is here in Bali with her husband Mickey. They have kidnapped me and taken me on a trip to Candi Kuning market, in central Bali near Bedugal.

Meeting an aid worker in Seminyak Bali
Last night after finishing my typing, I went over to Santa Fe with my laptop, to drink a cold beer. Sitting at a low table next to an Irish guy, I learned he was on a 2 day R&R trip, coming from Sudan via Singapore. He told me he works in Darfur, for an Irish NGO.

Meeting Java tsunami survivors in Seminyak Bali
The Asian tsunami 2004 is world famous and Aceh will be forever on the world map because of it. Indonesia has had other tsunamis since then including the one on the south coast of Java last year. Yesterday I got to meet 2 survivors of that tsunami and hear their story.

Delivering air tickets in Seminyak Bali
This morning I met some more cool people in Bali. A month ago, a lady had emailed me asking that my house be used as a forwarding address, for her family’s air tickets out of Bali. Tamara and her family were spending a couple of weeks in Bali before flying out. I was happy to oblige, but she has been hard to track down.
