Interview with Tuar at Classic Cafe in Tuban Bali
Classic Cafe is one of a handful of places that have opened on the beach side of Discovery Mall Shoping Center in Tuban. Classic Cafe features affordably priced western and Indonesian food, as well as drinks and is a great place for an afternoon snack or evening drink. During the mornings and afternoon, this whole beach side of the Mall is busy with shoppers. Later on in the evening its quietens down, but Classic Cafe has music most nights of the week, going till late.

A stroll down Jl. Kartika Plaza in Tuban Bali
This evening I strolled down busy Jl. Kartika Plaza in Tuban to check out the scene. This street is loaded with hotels, such as the Dynasty and the Discovery, restaurants and entertainment spots including Bluefin, DeeJay Cafe and Kuta Paradiso Billiard & Bowling. One of the latest arrivals is the Discovery Shopping Mall, the Las Vegas comes to Bali joint with the 2 huge cement pillars. Strolling inside I was amazed to smell that baked bread smell you get in malls, along with the artery clogging sweet dough they churn out. Indonesians, the people who tell me on a daily basis that they do not like bread, were lining up with trays of bread items and sugared dough. I guess you can sell anything if you position it the right way.

Discovery Shopping Mall in Tuban Bali
Discovery Mall opened last year and construction on it is still going on. The blue canopy and tile work still being done. If you have been to Discovery Mall before and saw those large white pillars, well those now support most of the open-air canopy, providing welcome shade. There are now steps extending close to the beach and a kids playground of inflatable structures. The beachside area features cafe and bars, the inside of the mall mostly clothes / surfing shops.
