Bali Kuta Shopping
Kuta Kidz: Clothing for youngsters in Kuta Bali
Kuta Kidz is a cute little shop on Jl. Singosari (although the business card says Jl. Taman Griya). It sells modern clothing for kids aged from 1 to 12 years. When I stopped by, the shop was quiet, and the staff member was eager to show me various items. The clothing appeared to be of a good quality and marketing it as a brand is a good idea. The company website gives a more thorough rundown of the goods on offer. I was tempted to pick up something for Jevon, but he has enough clothes and I’m not sure exactly how he compares with the age-sizing in this shop.

Travelling as an Aussie in Bali
Australians really were ones who drove the tourist boom in Bali, with surfers arriving in the 1970’s followed by waves of package tourists.
Kuta Beach was, and still is the epicenter of the Australian tourist scene in Bali, with Tuban to the south and Legian to the north also being favourites.

All you lovers of affordably priced DVD’s, here’s another place for you to check out in Kuta. Actually Mega Disc DVD has been around for a while, and today I chatted with the staff. Everyone was from Bali except one girl from Ambon (can you guess who she is from the photo?)

Exotic Bali - Tropical clothes in Kuta Bali
Exotic Bali is a men’s and women’s clothes shop on Jl. Legian in Kuta, across from Sari Yasa Samudra Bungalows. Anyone who walks by will notice the Hawaiian shirts and other colorful offerings on display. I’m not super into Hawaiian shirts, as there are older guys in their 50’s who retire to a warmer country, and live in Hawaiian shirts. The ones on sale here were going for 50,000rp.

Xtreme Toys: Legian Bali
One of the eye catching shops on Jl. Legian in Legian is Xtreme Toys. If you pass by you will notice the strange looking skateboards and weird bicycles they have outside. The company tag line is ‘Hard core toys, Xtreme Toys n other cool stuff’. They used to be dedicated solely to fringe sports and the shop was stocked with the paraphernalia that supported them. On my recent visit, I saw that there are now more racks of t-shirts and accessories, to compliment the sports equipment.
