For general city information see the main Denpasar page.
Having your child in Bali would probably sound like having it in Tijuana to most Americans and would be the last thing they would want to do. My impression of the system over here, at least the private health care system is quite positive.
Denpasar is the capital of Bali and is located 7km NE of Kuta. Denpasar is huge and has the most unwieldy one-way traffic system on the island. I do not go to Denpasar unless I have a good reason, but this city does have its special places.
Tuesday evening Ika and I took a taxi from Seminyak to Jl. Diponegoro in Denpasar to the office of Dr. Adam Zakaria. We have been there many times and know the drill. You show up, take a number and they get around to seeing you when your turn comes. I brought Bob Dylan: The Chronicles with me to help pass the time. The waiting room had a TV showing the usual Indonesia saucy slapstick shows and the customers, mostly Muslim couples seemed entertained.
