GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) on the Bukit Bali
Bali has undergone rapid development in the last 20 years focusing on tourism. Kuta, Legian and Seminyak have seen tremendous growth and now other parts of the island are seeing that too.
One area of Bali that has long been popular with surfers is the Bukit (hill) peninsula at the southern end of the island. This limestone plateau has Uluwatu on the western end and Nusa Dua on the eastern, with not much in the middle.

New Resorts on the Bukit Bali
Chatting with a friend last night I learned there are 2 new resorts being built on the Bukit Peninsula. Apparently there will be a golf course too. My friend said they have dumped soil to build the bunkers and its all go.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana Complex: Bukit Peninsula, Bali
A while ago I wandered around the Garuda Wisnu Kencana complex and was strikingly impressed. As a cultural park it is no doubt a centrepiece of tourism in Bali and well worth putting on your itinerary for your next visit.
