Okay, so this is cheating a bit because it’s not actually Bali. It’s the next-door island of Lombok, but it would take a sharp eye to tell the two apart from this view. These rice farmers seem like they are in a good mood, and I think I’d be in a good mood if I were on Lombok right now.

If you haven’t been to Bali yet you are in for a pleasant surprise. Nearly every square inch is photogenic all year round, but some of the most dramatic scenery can be found when exploring the interior of the island. This photo is of a rice terrace in Tabanan, which is a region in the western part of the island, and it was pulled from the Exploring Bali section of our Bali photos area. Here’s a lovely photo of a lovely beach at the Seraya Shores bungalows in East Bali. The place only has 5 rooms in 3 bungalows, but it’s highly recommended by Nick and other former guests.
