photo_far_end_bungalow062304.jpgThe 2-storey end cottage is the 2 storey one that affords maximum privacy. This one has a natural bamboo and alang alang roof with bamboo rungs providing ventilation through the 2 glass front doors.

Good points about Bungalow:
Located the farthest distance from the kitchen and check out area so affords most privacy. Very relaxed feel for 2-4 people who enjoy being in the same space.

Low Points about Bungalow: This bungalow is next to the original bale which houses the gamelan so if you do not like the music you might find it annoying. Also the daily gathering of staff and guests right next to it at the long dining table for tuak might be a little close for comfort for some people.

Lower room: The lower room had a tile floor. The outside wall is built with local volcanic stones and the deck has central steps and 2 wide couches for relaxing.

Bamboo shutters can be rolled down to provide shade or afford guests more privacy.

The bed is larger than the single storey bungalow but smaller than the other 2 storey bungalows beds.

bed__lower_far_end_bungalow062304.jpgThe ceiling of the lower room is natural wood, with an internal staircase leading to the upstairs room. There is no fan in this room. This bungalow would be great for a couple of friends who needed separate beds and being located at the edge of the property affords privacy. The bathroom is located at the back through a bamboo runged door and features a cement carving of a woman holding a bucket above her head, this is where the water comes out.

There is as in the other rooms, a water dispenser, towel rack and western toilet. The bathroom is again open air decorated with plants and still affording privacy.

Upper room: The upstairs room is for those who want the natural effect. This room enjoys the most open design and gets plentiful ocean breeze. The room is effectively open on 3 sides and extra privacy can be obtained using the roll down bamboo shutters.

The floor of this room is natural wood and the ceiling is a high bamboo and alang alang roof. Decoration is simple with Balinese carvings.

The bed has couch attached which can be used as another bed if necessary, the plentiful cushions making this room a perfect vantage point from to which to enjoy a lazy afternoon.

Good points of this room:
Plenty of ocean breeze and very open feeling.

Low points:
Sometimes too windy and does not feel as luxurious as some of the other rooms.
