The Legian Paradiso hotel is located on thr busiest street in town close to the beach and the nightlife. It has many comfortable rooms with 2 restaurants ( Mexican and Japanese on the property.

  • Atmosphere
Approaching Legian Paradiso on Jalan Legian you notice the large parking area in front and the signs for Mexican food. The atmosphere is not the serious imposing fa硤e of a large resort but of a unique place that caters to a more relaxed traveler. Walking through the entrance way underneath the restaurant you pass a couple of shops, the first selling t-shirts, the second a Chinese medicine shop. The whole mixture of vendors plus the layout is way different from most other hotels and has you thinking. The lobby is centrally located on the property and you stroll up to though the garden area complete with fountains. The lobby/ reception area is set under a large Balinese style roof and the whole area is open air.

At the front of the lobby area is a fellow making carvings for sale. This unique aspect gives a relaxed and non threatening feel.

  • Location
Legian Paradiso is located on Jalan Legian in Legian right in the heart of the shopping and nighlife. Jalan Legian is the busiest street downtown and all you have to do is step outside the hotel to check out art and craft shops, restaurants and bars. Kuta is a few minutes away through Benesari and the airport is 15 minutes by taxi.

If you want to experience the gourmet delights of Seminyak simply take a taxi from outside the hotel and you’ll be there in 10 minutes. Taxis patrol this area 24/7 and are very affordable.

  • Luxury Scale
The Legian Paradiso is a 3-star hotel that offers a laid back hospitality. The scale of this hotel is not overly pricey or intimidating with some cool stuff going on including a Mexican restaurant and Balinese art maker on the premises.

The hotel occupies 2 hectares of lush gardens and has a very nice centrally located swimming pool, along with a traditional style Balinese lobby with open air roof structure.
The hotel was built in 1994 in a Mediterranean style. Recently renovated the Legian Paradiso has a selection of rooms including single, double and three-bed rooms.

  • Staff Friendliness
This being a much smaller hotel than a fancy resort there are less staff and they are reasonably friendly. My guide Fifi from Java was polite and opened up once I’d popped a few questions. At the front of the lobby is a fellow carving Balinese artwork and he is all smiles.

  • Weird Stuff
The Legian Paradiso goes for a Mediterranean design, Mexican and Japanese restaurant and centrally located lobby / check in. You have to walk past the restaurants and gift shop to get to the check in. On the menu at the Mexican restaurant are ‘quisadila’ and ‘chicmihanga’.

  • What makes this hotel unique?
This hotel is unique because of its location in Legian. Right up the road from Matahari Department store and across the street from Bounty ship nightclub you don’t have to go far to get into the 4 action. Having a Mexican and Japanese restaurant on the premises offers something different to nasi goreng. The hotel’s centrally located lobby is unusual and you can enter the hotel without ever having to pas through it.

  • Why would you want to stay here?
I’d stay at this hotel is was wanted easy access to the nightlife and shopping of Kuta and Legian. Located directly on Jalan Legian, the busiest street means finding transport is easy. The hotel is 15 minutes from the airport and a few minutes walking from the beach. It’s an affordable option that comes with relaxing grounds and good quality rooms.

  • Why would you want to stay somewhere else?
I’d stay somewhere else if stepping out on Jalan Legian didn’t appealing every day. This is a 3-star hotel and doesn’t have the all out luxury of a resort. Alterantivily you can find cheaper places in the Poppies Lane areas located close by.
