Kuta Beach Club
Kuta, Bali, Indonesia
Reservations »

One of Bali oldest hotels dating back of 30 years The Kuta Beach Club is affordable, handy and very comfortable.
The atmosphere in Kuta Beach Club is way more relaxed than the larger resorts. This place has grown organically adding one room and swimming pool at a time so the lobby are looks like its older than the rest of the place.
Being a low rise hotel in the heart of Kuta you almost pass by without realising it is a hotel. I like that and felt totally comfortable checking the place out. The pool area is very nice and I really liked the stone work on the outside of the houses in traditional style.
Kuta beach club is located right in the heart of downtown Kuta on Jl. Singosari which runs into Jl. Kartika Plaza and Kuta Square.
I’ve ridden down this busy little street many times totally unaware that a cool hotel exists here. There is a large parking area in the front followed by a medium sized lobby with check in to the left. The lobby includes a tourist office to the right. The real surprise comes when you pass through the back of the lobby into the grounds. Suddenly you are in a tranquil area with Balinese style stone cottages and gardens. Walkinf furthur in you come to the 2 lovely pools, the first equipped with jacuzzi and swin up bar, the second large enough for swimming and mini water polo.
A very nice open air restaurant is also located next to the swimming pools. I saw a small waterfall and poolside massage under a relaxing shade.
This place is surprising for sure, not overly priced, quite luxurious for a 3 star yet so handy for lovers of the beach, shopping and night life. I would definitely consider this place myself for a trip to Bali.
The Kuta Beach Club is a 3 star hotel. The lobby and check in areas are misleading and the actual hotel is a very nice standard. I could tell by the wasy the owner was supervising employees that there is a high level of attention to detail.
Staff are quite friendly, Johny the manager showed me around and Kadek a young waitress made me an orange juice. Being a smaller place without a huge staff you’ll get to know the folks here fast.
Weird stuff about this hotel are that the front of the building looks very ordinary as it built years ago while the actual inside of the place is very nice.
Another thing is the owner, Mrs Raka who owns a 5-star resort in Benoa also stays here sometimes.
This hotel is unique because it has operated for over 30 years, grown organically and become a very comfortable place to stay and relax in the heart of Kuta. The swimming pools alone are better than some 5-star resorts and the low-level construction of the rooms with traditional stonework and gardens makes this a very surprising place.
It is luxurious yet affordable, centrally located but tranquil.
I would stay at the Kuta Beach Club if I wanted to explore the Kuta area after arriving at the airport. Located just 2 miles from Ngurah Rai airport and 200 meters from the beach you won’t have to stress over transport once here. Head 50 meters to Jl.Kartika Plaza and you’ll find night clubs and restaurants. Head right and you’ll pass through the shoppers paradise of Kuta Square. Keep going and you’ll hit Pantai Kuta and the Hard Rock Café, or Jl. Legian with it array of nightlife.
I’d stay somewhere else if I was on a strict budget and wanted a guest house, or wanted the complete resort atmosphere and headed for Nusa Dua.
