    hi Nick,
i enjoy reading your daily stuff about Bali,
I have been going there since 1974, 20 times when I get there on the 25th of Jan next year.
I always stay at the Legian Village hotel, its a lovely friendly place with a nice restaurant and pool.
would love to read a review of it.
    keeps writing and posting photos….
    cheers,
    Ann

    hi Dave,
the Legian Village is a lovely place to stay, its managed by a man called Dadung. look for ketut on the front desk, a lovely man. the staff are friendly the rooms are nice, I get one with a fridge and air con, the beds comfy and there is lots of hanging and drawer space. they have a beauty parlour and you can get massages etc. there are other rooms over the road and down a small gang, (lane) and there is an ATM down there too.
there is a restaurant around the pool, and a bar as well. the food is a mixture of aussie/indonesian/european and is quite extensive, they have great jaffles and mie goreng.(fried noodles)
the pool has a black bottom with “JONI”, the name of the original pension in white tiles across the bottom.
the rooms are clean, (they also clean them daily and make the bed etc)and you can have your laundry done for a small fee. there is also a hanging rail thing outside your room for your towel etc.
the light bulbs are a bit dim but that is all over.
there is a small shop attached to the place which is run by Mirah, you can get mozzie coils and cold drinks there.
we leave on the 2nd of feb, what date do you get there??
is there anything more specific that you want to know?
let me know if there is, it really is a nice place to stay….
