Amenities:
All rooms have air conditioning, clean & simple décor, refrigerator, satellite TV with 24 hour movie channel, balcony or terrace (most of which overlook the swimming pool, IDD telephone.

Facilities:
Centrally located swimming pool with waterfall. The pool area is surrounded by the restaurant and rooms giving easy access for guests.

A child pool is attached.

Restaurant & Bar:
Its breezy restaurant is popular with guests and passing trade is due to its cleanliness and reasonable prices. Serving Indonesian, Chinese and Western cuisine.

Mineral water is used for all the food and drink processes.

Recreation & Entertainment:
Most recreational places in Kuta are located within easy walking distance from the hotel. The beach is 150m, Go-kart track is 200m, Waterbom Park is 300m, Kuta Center Shopping Complex is 400m, Kuta Art Market is 500m.

Spa & Relaxation Center:
Facilities & services are available at the nearby Green Garden Spa. Return shuttle services are provided free. All of the in-house guests are entitled to use the Spa’s jacuzzi, swimming pool and herbal steam aromatherapy rooms for free. Specially discounted spa services are available for guests (at least 50% reserved for in-house guests only).

The Green Garden Hotel is located on busy Jl. Kartika Plaza in Tuban. It is 10 minutes from the airport and a few minutes walk from the beach. To access the shopping, restaurants and night life of Kuta is a 5-10 minute walk although the street outside is busy with souvenirs shops.

The hotel feels like a small older hotel that has seen a lot of traffic in the last 10 years.

Entering from the street there is a small parking area and an underground parking area. To the left is an area set up for open air dining and a bbq.

Entering up the steps you see some Balinese design and small statues. There isn’t an obvious reception straight away and the first thing you see is a square bar and the restaurant area. The kitchen is visible to the left side behind the bar.

To the rear of the bar area is a small reception desk. The place has the feel that that almost no one is in charge although the staff do seem to be hard working, very friendly and some are in uniform.

The rooms all extend directly back from the reception area in 3 storeys, with another small block around the far end of the pool.

The pool itself is rather small and looks clean. It has a waterfall in the center and recliners around the edge as well as polished furniture made from large wood pieces.

The pool area feels a bit cramped as you can’t walk around it and you will be in close proximity to the guests.

The restaurant looks like it can seat about 60-70 people.

During my afternoon visit staff were frantically cleaning and stocking I preparation for the evening.

I looked at the Kiddy Suite which was large and had a bunk-bed as well as a double bed. The room was large and clean as was the bathroom.

The walkways around the rooms are a little cramped and the views from some of the rooms isn’t the greatest, basically a view of neighboring rooftops. Other rooms overlook the pool.

Location:
The Green Garden Hotel is located on busy Jl. Kartika Plaza in Tuban. It is 10 minutes from the airport and a few minutes walk from the beach. The hotel is located close to the heart of the tourist scene in Kuta meaning the time spent accessing attractions such as shopping in Kuta Square, Stadium Café, Hard Rock Café and Waterbom Park.

Atmosphere:
The atmosphere is of a smaller budget place that has been round for a while. Its decent but not in any way shiney and new’. The bar / restaurant area feels a bit empty during the day and the small reception area gives the impression the place is very open and that no manager is around.

This hotel is very popular with the 40-50 year old Australian crowd. Its not really a party place though music is played in the bar area.

Luxury Level:
The luxury level of this hotel is what its budget’ statue says. There is a restaurant and a pool. Both are tidy, neither seem luxurious.

Weird Stuff:
Even though there were plenty of staff serving, cleaning and cooking there didn’t seem to be anyone in charge.

What makes this hotel unique?
This hotel is located very close to the airport and the shopping / nightlife of Kuta. That means your time in Bali can be maximized for an affordable price.

Staff friendliness:
The staff were very friendly and chatted freely with me.

Why would you stay here?
I would stay here if I wanted a budget place located close to the airport, beach and shopping.

Why would you stay somewhere else?
I would stay somewhere else if I wanted that Bali feel’ of having tropical gardens, large pool and more personal space. If I was on a strict budget I’d go to Poppies Lane for a guest house.

Noise:
Situated on busy Jl. Kartika Plaza there is constant loud traffic noise. The rooms don’t extend far back from the road so this might be a problem for some people.

How do the rooms feel?
The rooms feel decent. Quite large, clean with certain amenities like a TV, AC, refrigerator, IDD telephone and clean bathroom.
