Friday was my day this week to check out another hotel for people trying to figure out where to stay in Bali.
The hotel I checked out was the Adika Sari in the Padma area of Legian, the same hotel that Juliana stayed in when she was here. The Adika Sari is a budget range hotel that has been around for a while, with an okay location for people wanting to access the beach, shop on Jl. Legian and be close to tourist nightlife activities and restaurants.
I read an article today about the counterfitting of rupiah and the government’s response.
Another of my tasks was to gather and load words for our new ‘fun section’ the daily word. Haven’t added any naughty words yet, because I don’t know any.
My neighbor Lorenzo has relatives from Italy visiting and its a treat listening to the lingo. I can’t understand a word they are saying but Lorenzo in particular has a way of announciating every syllable in Italian where it sounds like he’s going to kill someone.
Last night I went with Palu to a surfboard shop and he was showing me some of the finer points of board styles and quality points to look for. Kuta has an abundance of surf shops selling new and used boards. Many people from Japan and Europe as well as Australia come to Bali to get started in surfing. Many of them expect to buy a board to take home with them and its very important to be able to tell if a board is damaged and what is right for you. If the guy selling you a board doesn’t ask you your height and weight (together with how experienced you are ) he probably doesn’t give a damn. Not everyone can surf a 6ft board.
While we were at the shop a young Aussie girl came in looking for a mid 7ft mini Mal used. That particular board is the one in most demand because its good for learners and you won’t find many used ones generally compared to the other styles. We also saw a bunch of boards made by our buddy Paul Callahan (PC surfboards) that were looking sharp. I’m going to be showing you a new brand called Pacifica soon that is also sharp.
If anyone has ideas for new daily sections and articles I’d like to here them.

NICK!!!! I’ve been told that I’m supposed to “butter you up” so that you’ll approve my membership application.
Tell you what, I’ll come and visit you in Bali and I’ll bring my Even-Famouser-Than-Amos To-Die-For Chocolate Chip Cookies. I’ve been meaning to see Bali anyway.

Nick, Do you really want to hear some bad Indo slang that is also funny? I’ve got loads. For example-”Cium pantat saya” I love this one. We use it in America a lot. It means Kiss my a–. Don’t know if I’m allowed to spell it out. Please don,t think I’m saying this to you though. Jet
With the political campaign in full swing, how about cuci otakbrainwash.
I could not see anything on the link to the hotel?
