Baliblog: How many rooms does Hotel Bounty have?
Anom: We have 166 rooms.

Baliblog: What classes of rooms do you have?
Anom: We have different category rooms. We have Standard, Superior, Superior Deluxe and Junior Suite.

Baliblog: What do you think is good about this hotel?
Anom: There are a lot of young people in this hotel having fun and because of the area I think this is a good hotel for young people. Hotel Bounty tries to make a party so that our occupancy is always high.

Baliblog: How many restaurants do you have?
Anom: We have 2 restaurants, the one located behind the lobby is open for 24 hours as is the swimming pool, the second restaurant, pool and bar are open from 7am ?10pm.

Baliblog: Most of the rooms are in 2 levels?
Anom: The rooms are in 2 and 3 levels. The Standard rooms most of them are located around the main swimming pool and all of our Superior rooms located on the ground level are also in here. We have more Standard rooms on the backside of the blocks.

At the end of the min pool we have Superior Duplex and most of the Superior rooms face the garden. If the guest is staying in the Superior room I think that’s more private. If they stay in a Standard room someone else will be above them in another room.

Baliblog: What do you think about the noise levels after 10pm, is it very noisy?
Anom: Oh yeah especially here around the main pool because it is open 24 hours and the pool-bar is also open 24 hours as well. Sometimes couple staying in this area come and say ?Ah it’s too noisy? and we give them another choice.

Baliblog: So for a young person say aged 25 who comes with a group of friends it’s good to stay next to the pool because it’s party, but for a family it’s better to stay in a Garden facing room maybe?
Anom: We do our best to accommodate. We know because we see when they arrive who are the people. If they young we can accommodate them close to the pool but if they are a little bit older we can accommodate them a bit away from the pool.

Baliblog: Do you put any special events like Balinese dancing, or special parties.
Anom: Yes everyday we have water sport activities which are conducted by our activities co-ordinator. Every Friday we have a bbq and always we have a Balinese dance or modern dance or Barong dance with it. We also have 2 for 1 drinks on Friday.

Baliblog: I know the management of Hotel Bounty also owns other tourist businesses. Do guests at the hotel get a discount at Double Six, or Paddy’s?
Anom: When the guests arrive we issue them with an identification card which will give them free access to Double Six.

Baliblog: I know we’re in Kuta but do you provide any shuttle bus services to other areas?
Anom: We offer return shuttle to the airport and we can transfer them to Double Six if there are requests.

Baliblog: If a guest comes to you and asks for a recommendation for a place to eat outside the hotel that they walk to where do you suggest?
Anom: We suggest Kori Restaurant on Poppies II and also a new restaurant in Seminyak called Ja’an.

Baliblog: I see you have pool-side massages. What other special things do you offer.
Anom: We have contracts with outside salons where our guests can go for treatments.

Baliblog: How would you describe the style of the hotel?
Anom: I don’t think it’s a Balinese style, all I can say is we are a 3-star hotel and we are only 20 minutes from the airport. We are close to the beach. If you want to go its only 10 minutes walk.

Baliblog: What kind of food does the restaurant serve?
Anom: Mixed.

Baliblog: Does that means International and Indonesian?
Anom: International and traditional Asian.

Baliblog: What about the other restaurant?
Anom: Depends, if the guests wants to eat at the other restaurant we can book it but we have only one kitchen.

Baliblog: What time does breakfast start in the morning?
Anom: Breakfast is from 7am ?11am.

The Bounty Hotel on Poppies II in Kuta is a budget hotel that offers easy access from the airport and is right in the middle of tourist land. It is also a 2-minute walk from the beach.

The entrance to the hotel is close to the street and is located on the second floor. Entering the hotel off of busy Poppies II you I noticed the arrival of tourists fresh off the bus. This place is extremely popular with Australian tourists and their families.

The reception is set under a hardwood roof which gives a somewhat traditional feel. The lobby is equipped with hardwood couches in the front area and wicker chairs in the rear, which overlooks the pool-bar and pool.

The noise level around the pool and thus in the reception area is quite high as the music is fairly loud. This attracts people and there is a general party atmosphere. For short term visitors having a choice of 2 swimming pools, 2 restaurants, one of which is open 24 hours and constant party atmosphere can be exciting.

The lobby has a tour desk and office and small convenience shop selling film and other small items.

The pool area behind the lobby is fairly compact and the pool is fairly small. Around the pool are plentiful loungers, an operating pool bar, a restaurant, a tour desk and temple. There is a real party atmosphere going on here with loud music and staff who organize water sports.

The pool area feels decent with plenty of bushes and trees and the pool itself is set up with water polo goals.

Rooms are decent and reasonably modern.

Location: The Bounty Hotel is located on Poppies Lane II in Kuta which is 15 minutes from the airport, 2 minutes walk from the beach and right in the heart of the budget shopping area.

Atmophere:
The Bounty Hotel feels like a decent budget level place that sees a lot of business. That can be good and bad. If you want a quiet hotel don’t come here. If you want a fun, lively hotel with functioning pool with games, pool bar and the chance to meet other people on holiday this place might work for you.

Luxury level:
The Bounty is a 3-star hotel with a 24-hour restaurant, 24 hour pool with bar, decent quality rooms, within a couple of minutes walk from the beach.

What makes this hotel unique?:
This hotel is unique because it is in the budget category and still offers a good level of comfort. Definitely a favourite with Australian tourists this hotel maintains a high energy level and can be a very fun place to stay.

Weird Stuff:
Not really weird but I’d say the energy level here has to be one of the highest of any hotel I have visited. The lobby is busy and the main pool area is party central. I was told the occupancy was 100% and usually never drops below 75%.

Why would you stay here?:
I would stay here if I was on holiday with my mates and wanted a high-energy place in Kuta close to the beach. The standard all round is decent. Also if I had a teenage family the pool activities, proximity to the shopping and beach would be good.

Why would you stay somewhere else?:
I’d stay here if I wanted a relaxing holiday or if I had a young family.

Rooms:
Due to the high occupancy I only got to see the Family Room which was very nice. Clean, spacious and comfortable with TV, AC, Mini bar and 2 bathrooms.

Noise levels:
The main pool area behind the lobby is party central so if you want a good nights sleep arrange for a room away from this area.

Amenities.
The 2 pools and 2 restaurants offer a chance to spread out. Tour desk offers an easy way to get out of the Kuta area and explore the island.
