Will be staying on Bali for more than 1 month. I’m hoping to find a house to rent. Close enough access to the beach and shopping would be nice, but I don’t want to limit myself. If the house is right, could hire a bike.

I’ve been to Villa Bali several times, and I cannot help but give it praise for keeping the overall value good, with affordable drinks and food. While the food is not top notch for dinners, the finger foods like its fish/beef/chicken satays and platters are really good value. The happy hours (whole day for Sun – Tue) is really appreciated. A chill out on a Sunday evening is really nice, without hurting the wallet.

Disappointed in your comments re private school snobs. I have taught for along time in the state system in Australia and a shorter time in the private system. Snobs exist in both systems ! The BEST facilities are in the private system. In my school in a country aRea we have 2 interactive whiteboards,. In friends private school there are 45 !
Good schools are where the parents are fully behind the school and have high expectations of their children and expect them to study hard and succeed. It is a partnership between families and schools. Cotton wool kids do not succeed in life but expect mum and dad to care for them forever. Be warned and be a tough dad who expects success from Jevon
