Wayan: The hotel opened in 1990.

Wayan: The hotel has 105 rooms, Standard 60, Superior 40, Cottages 5.

Wayan: The hotel has 1 large pool, 2 bars and 1 restaurant.
Baliblog: Wayan how would you describe the style of Bali Holiday Resort?
Wayan: Semi modern and Balinese style.
Baliblog: For someone who has never been to Bali how would you describe the layout and design of the hotel?
Wayan: More like a resort.
Baliblog: What other things about this hotel set it apart from the other hotels?
Wayan: The Bali Holiday Resort is a beach resort with large rooms and beautiful tropical gardens.
Baliblog: Why should someone stay here?
Wayan: We have a large swimming pool with beach view and large rooms that are quiet and are good for all groups and ages. It’s a quiet beach resort.
Baliblog: Who are your guests?
Wayan: Australians, Europeans and Asians. Mostly Australians and a lot of families.
Baliblog: Wayan if a guest asked you to recommend a couple of places to eat outside the hotel where would you recommned?
Wayan: I recommend Rosie restaurant on Jl. Legian and La Lucciola.
Baliblog: Can you recommend a couple of places located fairly close where a guest might go for nightlife?
Wayan: Double Six, Scandal on Jl. Legian.

Directly on the famous beach of Seminyak, at the northern end of Legian, only 30 minutes from the Airport and 30 minutes drive from Denpasar, the capital city.
Its just a few minutes walk from an art market, supermarket, disco, bank and pub.

The Bali Holiday Resort is a budget class hotel in the Legian area. Located on the beach it provides a decent standard of rooms and is a good place for a relaxing vacation. Shopping in Kuta and restaurants in Seminyak are several minutes away by taxi.
Location:
The hotel is located at the end of Jl. Abimanyu which itself is at the end of Jl. Dhyana Pura in Seminyak. Situated on the beach it is ideal for beach goers and people wanting to relax. Jl. Dhyana Pura has a selection of restaurants and is the center of nightlife in Seminyak. Guests will have only a couple minutes walk to the party scene.
Atmosphere:
Walking in the front lobby I could tell this was an older hotel because it doesn’t have that glossy feel that larger resorts have. The hotel is designed in 2 and 3 storey blocks so you feel that mass tourism effect.
Luxury Scale.
This hotel has large rooms that are not luxurious but offer a good level of comfort. Each room has AC, fridge, TV and a large bed. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Bathrooms come with bathtub, hot water and western toilet.
The swimming pool is clean and large although the pool-side facilities like the Pizzeria are in need of renovation. This hotel will be renovated in the near future. At the moment the cottages are being renovated.
Staff Friendliness:
I found the staff to be very friendly and spoke to the sales manager about the difficulties of learning English, chatted with the restaurant staff and another fellow who sells art work.
Weird stuff:
In the lobby there are little statues of horse and a central fountain like statue with no water.
What makes this hotel unique?
This hotel combines a great beachside location in Legian, with access to Kuta and Seminyak all for an affordable price.

Why would you want to stay here?
I would stay here if I wanted a decent level hotel close to the beach and the party scene in Seminyak.
Why would you stay somewhere else?
I would stay somewhere else if I wanted to avoid the package tourism feel, if I needed a greater level of luxury or was on a tight budget.
Noise:
The only yuo will worry about is the sound of the waves crashing. Rooms are reasonably far from the street.
Proximity to action:
You are close to the action in this hotel. You can walk around the corner to Jalan Legian or Jalan Padma for a range of tourist bars and restaurants or take a trip down to Kuta for a wilder scene. Also take a taxi a few minutes up to Seminyak for a more refined evening scene.
How does the room feel?:
Rooms are large, airy, clean and comfortable.
