Sales manager: Agus
From: Sanur

Baliblog: What is the design of the Bali Dynasty like?
Agus: The Bali Dynasty is actually a traditional Balinese design, some kinds of Chinese way because we have a close relation with the Chinese.

Baliblog: In the lobby we have a wood paneled ceiling, wooden columns and I see you have the banana leaf furniture at the back, so all natural. Some Balinese stonework around the entrance to the corridors, the big iron chandelier.
Agus: Also the Balinese statue in the front that welcomes you when you check in, like a kind of God

Baliblog: So would you say it is a bit Balinese and a bit Chinese?
Agus: Yes.

Baliblog: Of the guests you get here where do most of them come from?
Agus: Actually most of the guest are coming from Australia and the second from domestic. Also from Singapore and other European countries.

Baliblog: What are the busiest months for you?
Agus: The busiest months are starting April to September. I can say after the bombing and other things that are tragety I can its quite good and things are getting better.

Baliblog: Tell me about the renovations that you are doing at the moment?
Agus: The renovations that are going on right now are for the Executive Suites which are 12 rooms, expected to be finished next month. Now we will have the new waterslide which is 56.7 meters length just to complete the full feel of what the guests want. This year we will have the new Kids Club which is located downstairs next to the Kids Pool and upstairs on the second floor will be a gym.

Baliblog: Do you have any conference facilities?
Agus: Yes we do. There are 4 meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 320 people.

Baliblog: If you were going to recommend this hotel to a certain type of guest, like would you say the hotel would be good for younger people or older people, single people, couples, families etc?
Agus: This hotel is good for families and younger people, because there are 5 types of family rooms and we have a lot of facilities including for the kids, ya now we got a lot of kids promotions, almost all of them free, including the Kids Club.

Baliblog: Would you say the atmosphere here is quiet or lively, party atmosphere or what do you describe it as?
Agus: What I can see from the client with our staff is like a family service. They feel like this is a second home. People can say that because some of our guests are repeaters, so they are coming for 10 times, 12 times, 15 times.

Baliblog: Are most of the staff from Bali?
Agus: Most of them from Bali.

Baliblog: Do you provide any special entertainment like Balinese dances or other things?
Agus: Dances no we do not.

Baliblog: What about providing music?
Agus: Music yes. Every night we got a live band located in Gracie Kellys. Gracie Kellys is incidentally the first original Balinese Irish Pub. Its famous, last night we had St. Patricks Day, its quite good.

Baliblog: What about the restaurants. Do the restaurants organize any special buffet?
Agus: There are 5 restaurants and 5 bars available. We serve a buffets in our restaurant but we suggest you try Gracies Kellys and the Golden Lotus Chinese restaurant because it was the best Chinese restaurant in Bali voted by customers last year.

Last February we launched a new dim-sum menu with 61 items. Good chef, good atmosphere, really Chinese.

Baliblog: What makes this hotel unique?
Agus: This hotel is divided into 2 blocks of rooms and all activities are centralized, garden, pool, we got 3 swimming pools, so they feel all inside the hotel and not spread out over there.

Looking for suggestions for 10 days in late December fop a family with 2 teenagers. We want either a resort or villa, but what is the best area where we can relax and see the sunset, but also find some activities to keep everyone happy? There are so many options, that its hard to choose. Any advice?
