Manager / Receptionist: Nyoman
From Jimbaran Bali and has worked here since 1990.
Nyoman told me that the hotel opened in 1989. It has 23 rooms (14 Standard, 6 Delux, 2 Suites and 1 Family).
Baliblog: Nyoman what are the highlights of Adika Sari Bungalows?
Nyoman: Adika Sari Bungalows has a quiet location that is not far from beach, only 5 minutes. Its also near to the shopping and near to airport, around 30 minutes.
Baliblog: How would you describe the style of the hotel?
Nyoman: The hotel is like a cottage style with cottages arranged around a pool. We also have a Balinese style lobby area.
Baliblog: Where would you recommend to guests to dine outside of the hotel that is within walking distance?
Nyoman: The Padma Club restaurant, Legian Snake and Thai restaurant that is close by. Zanzibar and Café Warna at Blue Ocean beach are also good.
Baliblog: Where would you recommend guests go for some evening fun that is within walking distance?
Nyoman: Double Six and Paddy’s Pub. A good bar close by is The Padma Club.
Baliblog: Nyoman who are your guests?
Nyoman: Mostly families. Mixed, Aussies and Europeans.
Baliblog: Why would you recommend someone to stay here?
Nyoman: Because its nice looking and has friendly employees. Its like a family hotel with a human touch with the guests.
Here’s the real deal: Nick the Travel Nutter reviews the Adika Sari.>>
Adika Sari Bungalows is an older budget hotel in the Padma area in close proximity to the bars and restaurants of Legian.
The hotel has a semi traditional lobby / reception area at the front. The 2 storey structure contains a spacious upstairs restaurant complete with pool table.
The restaurant is airy and has several ceiling fans. Views from the restaurant overlook the central pool and the street outside. The restaurant is open from 0700 to 2200 and serves a variety of foods from typical Indonesian, to Italian, seafood, meat dishes and other items such as sandwiches.
There is a small pond at the front of the hotel with furniture for guests to sit. The lobby décor is an original mixture of bamboo, wood, marble and brick, with parking for cars and motorbikes is available in the front of the hotel.
Single and double storey cottages surround the pool on 3 sides with the lounge area and bar on the other side. All rooms have a small porch or balcony facing the central pool. Proximity to the road might mean that noise might be a problem for some people. The rooms feel reasonably spacious and the rooms are clean, though not luxurious.
Along both sides of the pool are lounge chairs that are good for sunbathing although they number 7 in total.
Weird stuff: Restaurant and lounge play a constant stream of 70′s and 80′s pop music which some people may enjoy.
