Manager: Mr Wiras

The sales manager of the Adhi Dharma is Mr Wiras from Klungkung Bali. He has been working at the hotel for 7 years.

He told me hotel was built in 1987, the cottages were built in 1995 and the 3 storey block was built in 1997.

Mr Wiras said location was a big part of the reason people stay at the Adhi Dharma with easy access to the shopping of Jalan Legian and a 5 minutes walk to the beach. He also mentioned the style of the hotel being traditional Balinese with a natural open roofed lobby, plentiful trees and plants, temples structures on site and traditional stone archways.

Mr Wiras said the staff are also a big factor in the hotels success. He said they are told to give a Balinese style service meaning be warm and friendly, talk to the guests and not in a way that fits the company style, but a genuine way from the heart. Almost all the staff wear traditional clothing and are encouraged to learn Balinese dance and gamelan ( orchestra ) with lessons being held twice a week. These are open to guests also.

Occupancy right now is around 20% and a lot of the guests re repeat visitors from Australia and Japan.

Mr Wiras said that the Adhi Dharma Cottages would be great for someone wanting close access to the shopping, while the hotel situated 200 meters away is better for someone seeking a quieter environment.

The third floor of the Adhi Dharma is been refurbished with new floor tiles. I checked out one of the Deluxe bedrooms complete with 4 poster bed and Chinese style sliding wall. Very nice! Spacious too.

Accessed through Jalan Benesari, Adhi Dharma Hotel was built at the end of a small lane that runs past the rear entrance to the Cottages, connecting with some of the best bargain shopping along the walkway to the beach. The Hotel has a wider range of rooms, more facilities and a larger pool.

The hotel has 73 comfortably appointed Guestrooms, 7 Junior Suites and 7 Family rooms are built around a free-form pool in the midst a lush tropical garden.
