Wida: I have worked here for 2 years after graduating from the tourism school.

Wida: The hotel has 125 rooms (Standard 96, Bungalows 26,Suites 2, Family room 1).

Wida: The hotel was built in 1977

Wida: The hotel has 2.4 hectares and 25 meters of beach.

Baliblog: What is the style of the hotel?
Wida: The style of hotel is a Christian hotel under the Church of Bali. The Church of Bali has many schools of tourism, orphanage houses, an industrial company for farming and making furniture.

Baliblog: What makes this hotel unique?
Wida: It is a Christian hotel. That gives us a very family style service. We want the guests to feel like this is their second home. Most of the guests are repeaters.

Baliblog: How would you describe the layout of the hotel?
Wida: Its like a resort hotel because all the buildings are spread over a wide area with lush garden. We’re also on the beach. The guests can have a long walk along the garden.

Baliblog: What is the noise level like here.
Wida: You won’t hear any noise from the traffic in fact you will hear the birds singing every morning and the sound of the waves.

Baliblog: Since this is a Christian hotel are most of the staff Christian themselves.
Wida: Only 2 % of staff are Christian, everyone is welcome here.

Baliblog: If a guest was unaware that this was a Christian hotel how would they be able to tell?
Wida: Sometimes we do weddings and church meetings. We have a chapel here so we can handle services and also restaurant.

Wida: The staff are great, the atmosphere is pleasant and it is quiet.

Wida: This hotel would be good for retired people.

Wida: We have a 24 hour restaurant that serves Indonesian, International and Chinese food.

Dhyana Pura Hotel is owned by the Protestant Christian Church in Bali which provides a peaceful and comfortable place for a family vacation.

Location:
The hotel is located on the beach in Seminyak on the southern peninsula of Bali. Six miles from Denpasar, the capital city of Bali and only 15 minutes by car from the International airport in Tuban.

Rooms:
The hotel has 26 Bungalows designed to reflect traditional Balinese architecture. All rooms are A/C and are surrounded by lush gardens. There are also 96 rooms, 2 suites and 1 Superior equipped with modern facilities, such as private bathroom, balcony, A/C, refrigerator, music channels, telephone and color TV.

Restaurant & Bar
Eden Garden Restaurant is located over looking the gardens and swimming pool. The restaurant serves a selection of Western, Chinese and Indonesian cuisine with personalized service.

Hosanna Juice and Snack Bar offers delicious snacks and many kinds of tropical juices.

The hotel has large grounds which are well developed with trees and bushes. The pool area has a pool-bar (closed) and wooden recliners.

The parking lot out front features 2 large banyan trees and there is what looks to be an absolutely massive papaya tree in the garden area close to the beach.

The hotel grounds are quite large and feature many ponds.

The Bale Paruman Agung is a 2 storey conference hall with outside area for dining. Across from the conference hall is a large open side pavilion ideal for meetings too.

Rooms in the hotel come in 3 styles, Standard, Superior and Family.

The Standard rooms are set in 2 storey blocks. The Superior and Family are in single storey cottages.

There is an art shop on the porperty too.

Eight of the rooms come with a garden bathroom.

Location:
Hotel Dhyana Pura is located on the beach in Seminyak at the end of Jl. Dhyana Pura. The hotel is about 35 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Kuta, 5 minutes from the shopping on Jl. Legian and 2 minutes from the nightlife on Jl. Dhyana Pura.

Atmosphere:
The atmosphere when you enter the hotel is one of laid back relaxation. Hotel Dhyana Pura isn’t a luxury hotel and the lobby is rather small. The grounds are full of trees and bushes to give you that tropical feel and the swimming pool is within sight of the beach. The atmosphere overall is of a decent hotel with a relaxed attitude.

Staff Friendliness:
The reception staff were friendly and accommodating.

Weird stuff:
There are a couple of huge banyan trees that sit in the parking lot at the front of the hotel. These give a boost to the Balinese feel.

Luxury Scale:
The luxury scale is decent and simple. The Standard room I looked at was compact and comfortable with TV and AC. The room was clean and simple. The grounds of the hotel are developed with plenty of trees and bushes and the pool provides a tranquil spot to relax.

What makes this hotel unique?:
This hotel is located in a great place for those who want a Balinese feeling, on the beach, in the middle of the party zone and for a reasonable price.

Weird stuff: The hotel seemed very empty when I visited which is good for some people as it means less noise and more attention.

Why would you stay at this hotel?:
I’d stay at Hotel Dhyana Pura if I wanted to be on the beach, enjoy a decent level of comfort and be within easy reach of the party area and the shopping:

Why woud you stay somewhere else?:
I’d stay somewhere else if I wanted total luxury like a resort in Nusa Dua or total budget like a guest house or one of the hotels in Kuta / Legian.

Noise:
Hotel Dhyana Pura is located far enough from the main road so that traffic noise will not be a problem. The only noise I could hear was the crashing surf and swaying palm trees.

Amenities:
All rooms have AC, TV, hot water. The pool and lush garden give a relaxing atmosphere and the beach is right there. There is a restaurant, a juice bar and 24 hours room service.

Proximity to the action:
Hotel Dhyana Pura is very close to the nightlife on Jl. Dhyana Pura and you will able to walk to a selection of happening bars and restaurant.

How does the room feel?:
The Standard room feels compact, clean and decent.
