Located in the heart of Legian with close access to the beach the Rama Garden offers guests the chance to get to know the small staff and take advantage of all the Kuta / Legian area has to offer at an affordabel price.
Out back the 2-storey rooms overlook the central pool which is pleasant. The manager and staff are friendly, the younger staff may seems a little shy buy the older ones are outgoing.
This area is a hive of activity and Kuta is close by too, only about 10-15 minutes walk. The restaurants and nightlife of Seminyak are roughly the same in the opposite direction.
Staff friendliness is highly rated too with a family atmosphere’ existing between staff and guests.

Manager: Redianis
The manager of the Rama Garden is Redianis from Singaraja who has worked at the hotel off and on since 1991.
She told me that the hotel opened in 1984 with 14 rooms and has been renovated step by step.
The style of the hotel is a modern 2-storey set of rooms set around a pool and gardens. The hotel is fronted by a restaurant and bar with patio tables next to the street.
The interior style of the hotel is Balinese combined with other styles to create what Redianis calls Balinese modern’.
I asked Redianis what the highlights of the hotel were and she said the location with access to the beach, 150 meters away is a major one. Also guests enjoy close access to shops selling handicrafts, clothes, silver, shoes and Balinese artwork.
Redianis said if the guests want good restaurants to choose from the first would be of course the hotels own restaurant Redianis, followed by Taki Japanese restaurant and the Padma Club serving Chinese and European cuisine.
For nightlife the Bounty ship is close by on Jalan Legian as is Peanuts nightclub.
Redianis told me that the friendly staff is a great feature of the hotel giving a family atmosphere.
All the rooms are facing the pool and gardens and the hotel has a Balinese atmosphere with small statues and stonework as decorations.
Next to the hotel is a 24 hour Mini Market which is actually part of the same building and has the same owner.
Redianis said that the current occupancy is around 52% and the majority of guests are from Australia at around 50%. Others include Japanese, Europeans and other Asians.
Guests often form friendships with the staff and other guests and keep in touch. Frequently re-unions re planned and Redianis said there is a group coming back in June who met first at the Rama Garden.
I asked Redianis if she could say one sentence about the hotel what would she say and she said the Rama Garden is a cute hotel with 3-star facility and friendly staff.’
